Earlier this fall, we asked supporters like you for their opinions about the at-large election system which we use every four years to select local governments in British Columbia.
And based on the nearly 2,300 responses to our questions, it's clear the vast majority of respondents want change.

Those who want to replace the at-large system stated their opposition stemmed from political parties dominating local politics, councillors not representing their views and the lack of information available during elections.

When asked for their views on what election systems they prefer, the top two choices were the constituency, or ward, and proportional voting systems.

These results show a strong opposition to the at-large system from Forward Together supporters like you.
It also shows we are on the right track by readying our court challenge where we will ask the courts to throw out the at-large system and order the province to bring in another system, such as constituencies or proportional representation.
In the new year, we will be holding virtual meetings to discuss how we intend to move our court challenge forward, so get involved now, if you want help with making history.
